Brazilian butt lift surgery procedure
A Brazilian butt lift involves three basic steps:
- Fat is removed from the hips, lower back, thighs, abdomen, and/or other areas with liposuction
- The extracted fat is purified and prepared for transfer
- At Dr Monisha Kapoor Aesthetics in Delhi, Dr Monisha Kapoor injects fat into specific points on the buttocks to increase volume and improve shape
Recovering after your Brazilian butt lift
- Once the butt lift is over, the recovery process begins. Depending on how much fat is removed via liposuction you’ll go home on the same day of the procedure, or you will have an overnight stay at Dr Monisha Kapoor Aesthetics.
- The dressing is then replaced with a special pressure garment that has a window for the buttocks.
- Patients are up and about the next day, but need to sleep on their tummy for 3-4 weeks.
- After 10 days they are allowed to sit in a soft cushion to avoid excessive pressure
- Exercise can only be resumed after 6-8 weeks for a favorable outcome
What to expect?
“Indian woman Pelvis (hip bone) & body structure is different from western population. Among many successful BBL’s done in Indian population and international population, there are difference in both” says Dr Monisha Kapoor.
“In Indian woman the fat cells are more labile, and they shrinks in the transferred zone over a period of on month and starts to regrow eventually at 3 months and takes close to 9 months to 1 year for complete results to show up.” “Indian woman aiming for BBL, should know their body type and keep their expectations close to Indian patient results.” Says Dr Monisha Kapoor.
